There is no real freedom of press in India

An excellent article by Lakshmi Chaudhry on the state of Indian Journalism more specifically the digital age.

“There is no real freedom of press in India. There are only windows of opportunity. They open and then they close. You just have to make the most of it.”

Absolutely true, too much noise in the jungle.

You need to more aware of Google/Facebook than you think of

No this isn't Google or Facebook being evil or anything like that. This is about you "the user" being aware of whether the results thrown by the giants are truly helpful, truthful or not. This is actually the onus of each person while at the same time Google, Facebook in the era of fake news, needs to be smarter as "gaming-the-system" is dangerous but also the way Google/Facebook smarten up.

It is basically about good parenting of not only outside, but also inside of us, what we chose to absorb, disseminate. That's the main point, while still helping, making the other aware of their unawareness.

Good detailed articles written by Carole Cadwalladr. Thanks Carole for the awareness!

Booking.com - Breakfast VS Very Good Breakfast

The other day, for my travels, I was looking at booking a hotel in India on Booking.com. I was looking for an offer with breakfast option and this is what I got.

Apparently, there is a difference between Breakfast and Very Good Breakfast as per Booking.com's booking on this particular Hotel that made me Lol.

It makes you wonder though, what is the difference other than Rs.500 odd price. Do they serve more salt and pepper? More bread perhaps? In fancier cutlery? Express line to the hogging counter? Or maybe the waiter will listen to me shitty jokes and not spit in the food this time. I wonder.
