Tapping the Self

"The soul that meditates on the Self is content to serve the Self and rests satisfied within the Self, there remains nothing more for him to accomplish." -- Bhagavad Gita

"It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell." -- Gautama Buddha

"Your daily life is your temple and your religion. Whenever you enter it take with you your all." -- Kahlil Gibran

  1. 'Inferiority Complex' is the root cause of many of our problems. We know that we are unhappy but we do not bother to find out the real reason of our unhappiness. Somewhere it is linked with this inferiority complex.

Profession - We do not have any freedom to choose. It is predtermined. We do not know what role God will ask us to play in our next life. Depending upon our actions, we are given a character to play in this world. No job / work is inferior. It's only thinking patteren of the society , that makes 'some of us' to feel inferior to others. But by this, we harm ourselves only. A strong belief in the fact that "ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE EQUAL" will help to overcome this problem.

If a man is called a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and Earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well. --Martin Luther King, Jr.
